First, let me apologize for the long haitus in blog posts. We are on the verge of some major developments with regard to the college, and I have been delaying with the hope that all things would fall into place before a post. However, even though wonderful things are, indeed, developing, it will take a little more time than I had hoped. I will keep you posted.
On the other hand, we do have some wonderful news now. We have a home! The college will not open until 2019, but we have settled on a location for all of the college’s operations but housing. This will greatly benefit us in making concrete plans for the college's opening.
We have made arrangements to lease space in an unused portion of a Catholic medical complex called Charleston Place. (6451 SW 54th St. Ocala FL 34474) It is about two miles from Queen of Peace Catholic Church where the traditional Mass is celebrated and only a few miles from downtown Ocala. The building is pictured at the top of this blog. We will lease enough space here to take care of academic, administrative, dining, and social needs. Queen of Peace Catholic Church, where we will have Sunday Mass, is less than two miles away. Daily Office will take place in a temporary chapel set up in the buidling at Charleston Place. We are still working on housing, but have a few nearby options.
Deo gratias!
